MCUL CEO Announces Michigan Credit Unions' $95K CMN Donation on "Turn Up the Miracles" Radiothon
On Nov. 18, 104.3 WOMC hosted the fourth annual "Turn Up the Miracles" Radiothon to benefit pediatric patients of Beaumont Children’s and Children's Miracle Network (CMN).
MCUL CEO Patty Corkery called in during the radiothon to announce a surprise donation from the Michigan credit union community of nearly $95,000 to benefit CMN Hospitals. CO-OP Miracle Match provided $10,000 of the total donation. CO-OP Miracle Match is managed by CO-OP Financial Services on behalf of its 3,000 member credit unions.
Donations to Children’s Miracle Networks Hospitals stay within the community, where the funds are raised to provide critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
During the call, Corkery said the partnership between CMN Hospitals and the Michigan credit union community dates back to 1998. She also detailed how all of the money was raised and why MCUL and member credit unions have chosen CMN Hospitals as a target cause.
