Limestone FCU's Little Coffee House Makes Big Impact
Back in 2017, Limestone Federal Credit Union leveraged a $20,000 Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) grant to raise more than $200,000 to empower high school students to create, open and operate The Grind Coffee House.
Nearly five years later, the credit union is selling the successful coffe house in order to keep the model going: Limestone will use the sale to start a student-run small business incubator.
"We could not have done this without donors like MCUF, through your commitment to this project we have been so fortunate to impact the students of our community. We are so excited to see what the future holds for this project and look forward to sharing with your organization as the plan develops," said CEO Jennifer Watson.
