Congratulations to Michigan's 2020 Election Winners
Michigan’s election results have settled in, and MCUL is pleased to congratulate all credit union supporters who have won their races!
Congratulations to U.S. Senator Gary Peters, who won a hard-fought contest to serve a second term. Sen. Peters is a true champion for credit unions and MCUL looks forward to continuing work with him in the years to come. The League is also extremely pleased to welcome U.S. Representative-elects Lisa McClain for Congress and Peter Meijer to the delegation, and congratulate all of returning delegation members as well – U.S. Reps. Jack Bergman, Bill Huizenga, John Moolenaar, Haley Stevens, Debbie Dingell, Brenda Lawrence, Fred Upton, Tim Walberg, Congressmen Andy Levin and Dan Kildee and Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Elissa Slotkin.
In Lansing, MCUL is equally excited to welcome all newly elected state House members and those that will be returning! MCUL successfully endorsed 81 new and incumbent candidates in their election bids this cycle. The League is energized for the work left to do in the remaining days of this session, and about the possibilities for advancing key credit union issues in the year to come.
“As the presidential election results continue to be clarified, we can pause and recognize the will of Michigan voters in other important races," said Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates President and CEO Dave Adams. "Credit unions have great bi-partisan support from the Michigan Congressional delegation and we congratulate the winners.”Go to main navigation
