Michigan Credit Union Foundation Welcomes New Board Members
The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) benefits from the guidance of seven trustees who generously and cooperatively share their leadership and vision to help the Foundation boost the credit union difference in Michigan.
Three new trustees were recently elected to the MCUF board: Chrissy Siders, CP Federal Credit Union; Kyle Gurzynski, Safe Harbor Credit Union, and Dave Brandt, ELGA Credit Union.
These new trustees join Eric Esser, Community Financial Credit Union, who was reelected this year; and current trustees: Candy Keene, University of Michigan Credit Union; Brenda Lippins, Delta County Credit Union; and Renee Werth, MCUL.
“I know the Foundation will benefit significantly from the guidance of our great group of trustees, each of whom bring insight to activities that align with the MCUF focus areas: the credit union social mission, financial education and assistance to underserved people, as well as those who represent the scope of credit unions in our state, geographically and across asset sizes,” said MCUF Executive Director Beth Troost. “I want to thank our outgoing board chairperson Carma Peters, Michigan Legacy Credit Union, and Jeffrey Jackson, Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, for their years of service and leadership that have helped increase the value and the impact of the Foundation, thereby improving the financial health of Michigan families and communities through credit union initiatives.”
MCUF, funded by cooperative donations, helps credit unions serve Michigan communities through financial education, community reinvestment and professional development support. The Foundation is now accepting applications for credit union Community Reinvestment Grants. Learn more, donate, or apply for funding at MCUF.MCUL.org.
