Forbes Ranks Frankenmuth Credit Union Best in Country

For the third year in a row, Forbes ranked the best financial institutions in the country in a piece titled, “The Best Banks and Credit Unions in Every State 2020.”

According to Forbes, “Consumers were asked 20 questions about their financial dealings. The banks and credit unions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five subdimensions (trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services and financial advice). Overall scores ranged from 74.8 to 95.6. Only 2.6% of all banks and 3.5% of all credit unions made our list.”

Of the 5,200 credit unions considered across the nation, Frankenmuth Credit Union ranked first overall.

“I am thrilled to hear Frankenmuth Credit Union received the distinguished Forbes 2020 honor of Best Credit Union in the country,” said CEO Vickie Schmitzer. “It's a badge we will wear proudly. This is not earned by any one person’s doing but is a culture of doing what is right and caring for others, which is practiced throughout the entire organization.”

“No doubt, 2020 has been an unexpected year with unforeseen changes to our industry. But because this award is measured by the consumers’ satisfaction with Frankenmuth Credit Union, I am assured the team did their job and did it well … even when faced with the challenges of a pandemic,” continued Schmitzer. “The Frankenmuth team has given the members and the communities we serve the best advice, trust and service possible. And though a badge doesn’t necessarily represent greatness, I am certain we can greatly represent this badge.”

“Vickie Schmitzer and the Frankenmuth Credit Union team are emblematic of what makes credit unions special — extraordinary service and value, especially in the toughest economic times,” said MCUL CEO Dave Adams. “This credit union’s members truly love their credit union, so this recognition is well-deserved.”
