Dept. of Labor Issues Employer Guidance for COVID-19
The Department of Labor (DOL) has issued guidance for employers to help navigate COVID-19 as safely as possible.
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act release explains paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Included is guidance for both employers and employees, as well as FAQs.
The DOL followed up on that release with additional guidance, including posters for employers that spell out “whether employers may post required notice electronically, whether employers must provide notice of this law to recently laid-off individuals, when FFCRA applies to federal workers and when enforcement of the new rules will begin.”
