Popular Presenter Don Arkell Facilitates New Lending School in East Lansing

MCUL & Affiliates will present a new Lending School on Oct. 22-23 at the MSU Henry Center in East Lansing.

The first day of training will focus on frontline topics, including what must happen in every loan interview, how to gain more of members’ business, following the guidelines for secured and unsecured lending, teaching FICO scores and improvements to members, spotting the three bankruptcy predictors and much more.

The second day will center on issues important to CEOs/CLOs, VPs of lending and lending managers looking to learn the tactics and strategies of top performing credit unions around the country. The agenda includes an overview of the competitive landscape and disruptive lenders, loan product rate design, loan department organization, loan policy revisions and tips for successful collections.

Don Arkell, a consultant with CU Lending Advice, will facilitate the training that encompasses a wide variety of topics to provide actionable steps and information to increase loan to share ratio, decrease expenses and deliver loans to members in a modern, engaging process. Registration is $219 per person, per day.
