CUNA Webinars: July
- The Top Ten Things Every Compliance Officer Should Know by Learning from Other’s Mistakes will be the topic of a CUNA webinar taking place on July 16 from 12-1 p.m. (ET). The session will focus on high-profile credit union embezzlements, failures and collapses and ways to utilize those events for maximum training and impact. It is not about sensationalizing someone’s failure, it is about creating an environment where key stakeholders ask "could this happen here" and “how can we make our systems better?" Registration is $219 for CUNA-affiliated credit unions.
CUNA will deliver a webinar on Taxes and Investment Basics on July 25. The session will help participants provide members the financial knowledge they need to make wise decisions. How to recognize the basics of taxation and how to help members understand their tax obligations and responsibilities will be covered, along with how to help members use their tax refunds wisely and to understand the basic concerns related to investing. The webinar takes place from 3-4 p.m. (ET) and is available to CUNA affiliated credit unions for $219.
A critical component of working with members is learning how they manage expenses. On Aug. 1, CUNA will host the first of a two-part Webinar on Controlling Living Expenses to explore ideas for reducing housing, transportation and other expenses and review how to help members improve their credit score while repaying existing debts. Part two of the webinar takes place Aug. 8. Registration is $219 per webinar for CUNA affiliated credit unions.
