Wanigas Credit Union Celebrates Bay City Branch Grand Re-Opening
On Oct. 18, International Credit Union Day, members, special guests and the community were invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand re-opening of Wanigas Credit Union’s Bay City Branch. Wanigas broke ground on the $2 million office expansion in October 2017 and the construction was handled by the architectural firm of Thompson Phelan Group, Inc.
Wanigas is a full-service, not-for-profit financial cooperative, offering mortgage loans, consumer loans and a wide variety of saving and transactional accounts. The new branch will allow the credit union to better serve the financial needs of new and existing members in a community with the potential for further growth.
“For over 65 years, we’ve been improving the lives of our members. Wanigas has a long history of excellence and we’re pleased to continue investing in the Bay City/Bangor Township community,” said Bernie Williams, CEO of Wanigas Credit Union.
Visitors to the grand re-opening event enjoyed food and refreshments from local businesses and were invited to explore the new branch.Go to main navigation
