Register Now for New MCUL Call Center Conference

Dozens of attendees have already registered for the new MCUL & Affiliates Call Center Conference being held in Lansing. The pre-event takes place the evening of Oct. 29 with dinner, networking and a behind-the-scenes tour of the call center at MSUFCU. Attendees will then gather on Oct. 30 at The Henry Center at Michigan State University for a day of frontline and management track sessions, concluding with an optional tour of the call center at LAFCU. Registration is $399 per person and hotel rooms are being held at a negotiated rate until Sept. 29 at the Candlewood Suites, which is connected to The Henry Center.

Hotel rooms are being held at a negotiated rate until Aug. 23 for the MCUL & Affiliates Fall Leadership Development Conference, Sept. 14–16 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. The event is ideal for directors, committee members and future volunteers, as well as CEOs who often join their board members. A registration worksheet to distribute to attendees is available here.

Share Best Practices with the Financial Education Connection on August 21

Attend the Aug. 21 Financial Education Connection (FEC) meeting to network, learn about upcoming initiatives and explore financial education tools and resources. Supported by the Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) with a goal to help strengthen and support credit union financial education initiatives, FEC meetings are open to all interested credit union professionals.

The Aug. 21 meeting will be held at the Michigan State University Extension (MSUE) Executive Office in Waterford Township beginning at 10:00 a.m. and will include updates about state and national financial education initiatives and a financial education roundtable for participants to share news about activities at their credit union and seek peer advice/assistance with challenges. The meeting will also feature a session conducted by educational specialists from MSUE on best practices for delivering financial education.
