Register Now for IRA Workshops in Traverse City

Credit unions looking for staff training on Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) http://www.cvent.com/d/7gq0cj?RefID=IRAHSA_mon  may begin registering for individual-day workshops being held Oct. 3-5 in Traverse City at the Hotel Indigo.  These workshops are ideal for those needing to brush-up on the basics of IRAs, stay current with advanced IRA topics or to gain important insights into administering HSAs. Registration is just $219 per person, per day. Participants may choose to attend one, two or three days based on interests and experience levels.

Zeal Credit Union Holds 208 Backpack and School Supply Drive

Zeal Credit Union is now accepting donations of new backpacks and school supplies, as well as monetary donations, for Volunteers of America’s Operation Backpack.

“This is our 10th year to collect school supplies to help at-risk and homeless children enjoy a great start to the school year,” said Tiffany Sweet, youth and community development coordinator for Zeal Credit Union. “Zeal employees also get involved by donating supplies and stuffing grade-specific backpacks.”

This year’s Backpack and School Supply Drive runs through Aug. 3. Donations are then distributed by Operation Backpack to needy students throughout Michigan.
