Credit Union Collection Consortium’s January Meeting

The Credit Union Collection Consortium has its next meeting on Jan. 10, from 2–4 p.m. The Dec. 13 meeting was cancelled due to weather, but this month’s will have the same agenda planned for that previous meeting. The meeting will be held at Genisys Credit Union located at 2100 Executive Hills Court in Auburn Hills. Attendance is free and no reservations are necessary. TBACU Awards Classroom Improvement Grant

TBA Credit Union presented a $1,000 classroom improvement grant to Kristen Ryder, school psychologist at New Campus and Willow Hill Schools, on Dec. 18.

The funds will be used to assist in creating a food pantry within New Campus School. Supplies for the pantry will consist of food, clothing, hygiene products, and any other basic needs of the students and their families. The goal of staff is to create a program those in need can rely on, as well as give students the responsibility of shopping and organizing the pantry on a weekly basis.

“The community support coming from TBA Credit Union is wonderful! This grant will extend our ability to provide basic necessities to our students in need, and enrich school learning opportunities as we teach vocational skills in financial literacy, purchasing and customer service as students maintain and replenish pantry goods through ongoing donations,” said Ryder, school psychologist at New Campus and Willow Hill Schools.

TBA Credit Union allocates $7,000 for classroom grants every calendar year, and educators can apply for a grant up to $1,000. Visit to see previous recipients and information on how to apply.
