Bring a Financial Reality Fair to Your Community with Help from the MCUF
Michigan credit unions have already coordinated 34 Financial Reality Fairs this year, helping more than 3,000 students prepare for a more successful future. These fun and fast-paced fairs simulate one month of independent adult living in under two hours, giving teens a chance to experience their future financial reality in advance and understand the consequences of their choices.
A new video shows how the fairs work and the impact they can make, helping credit unions and teachers understand and prepare for the fair experience. Credit unions are encouraged to share this video with schools to assist in expanding educational partnerships and student financial education.
The Michigan Credit Union Foundation provides materials, funding and implementation guidance to assist credit unions and chapters in hosting this unique hands-on financial learning experience for teens. Learn more at mcuf.mcul.org or contact MCUF Executive Director Beth Troost.Go to main navigation
