  • Limited seating is still available for those interested in the upcoming MCUL & Affiliates workshop, Getting Younger: Attract, Serve and Retain Millennial Members. Being held Oct. 24 at the Think Space in Lansing, the presentation will focus on the financial case for serving millennials and will assist marketers in justifying the allocation of resources for reaching this integral market segment. Attendees will discover how attracting and serving has very little to do with technology and social media and they will leave with practical tips to attract new millennial members, as well as how tips on product design and pricing to maximize appeal of millennials. Registration is just $599 for the first attendee and two or more from the same credit union are $450 each, which includes continental breakfast, lunch and snacks.
     
  • On Oct. 2 CUNA will present a webinar on the Expanding World of Health Savings Accounts. Some financial organizations may be reluctant to implement or develop an HSA program given the uncertainties that still surround these accounts and their place in the tax-qualified savings landscape. This webinar offers insight into the HSA market—including its growth, the prospects for future growth and the reasons behind it all. The webinar takes place from 3-4:30 p.m. (ET) and registration is $219 for CUNA affiliated credit unions.
     
  • Business Accounts - BSA Implications will be the topic of an Oct. 10 webinar being hosted by CUNA from 2-3:30 p.m. (ET). While much attention has been given to the increased risks in the business lending area, there is a storm brewing on the business accounts horizon and credit unions need to be prepared. The heightened customer due diligence requirements combined with an increased regulatory focus on the use of business accounts in criminal activity have dramatically changed obligations. This session will focus on the entire business account process from membership to account opening and monitoring to beneficial ownership and highlight the potential landmines of business accounts. Registration is $219 for credit unions that are CUNA members.
