Developing a Younger Membership: Focus on Millennials

CUNA's 2017/2018 Environmental Scan addresses the importance of keeping up with members' changing demands, exploring product innovation and easing the concerns that millennials have about debt.

MCUL & Affiliates' upcoming workshop, Getting Younger: Attract, Serve and Retain Millennials will help credit unions develop and implement strategies that go beyond social media to reach this important demographic.

Taking place Oct. 24 at Think Space in Lansing, the session features Jim Kasch (pictured right), a millennial marketing expert with first-hand credit union experience. Kasch will share tips on product design and pricing to maximize appealing to millennials, as well as tips to attract new members and increase sales.

Those who register by Sept. 15 will qualify for a complimentary member engagement survey to collect data from members prior to the event and to then spend the day digging into that information. Attendees will work in a comfortable “non-traditional classroom” space to inspire ideas and leave with insights and a strategic framework specific to their millennial members and potential members.

Registration is $599 for the first attendee, with two or more from the same credit union priced at $450 each, which includes continental breakfast, lunch and snacks.
