Enrollment Open for Pathways to Financial Empowerment Financial Counseling Model
Launched by the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions and Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners in 2015, Pathways to Financial Empowerment is a financial counseling model supported by first of its kind technology to track member and community impact.
- Pathways helps credit unions deliver consistent, best-practice financial counseling and coaching to low-income and underserved people
- Achieves and measures impact for members and the credit union on a central platform
- Analyzes and helps credit unions better understand the financial wellness and engagement of their members
Online training begins this fall and will culminate in Atlanta, Georgia, Jan. 24-26, 2018. Financial counselors, loan officers and other cooperative professionals from across the country will gather to learn best practices in financial counseling, coaching and outcome tracking on the Pathways platform.
The January 2018 training will be held at Equifax headquarters and includes a site visit to the On the Rise Financial Center in Atlanta's historic Westside. The Center, in collaboration with local credit union partners, is providing Westside residents with financial education classes, access to affordable accounts and loans and one-to-one coaching supported by the Pathways platform. See you in Atlanta!
