- Credit union staff and volunteers may register for complimentary attendance to Leveraging the Credit Union Difference, taking place on Saturday, June 10 during the MCUL/CUSG Annual Convention & Exposition, held in Grand Rapids. Sometimes the important role that “the credit union difference” can have on the success of credit unions is overlooked, yet retaining this strong business model is not only important, but it is vital for credit unions to find the right balance between their social and business missions. Mark Lynch from the National CU Foundation will review why credit unions were first formed, help to explain why those circumstances still exist today and explore how credit unions can use the credit union difference to better serve existing members, attract new members and enhance their bottom line. The event takes place at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in the Pantlind Ballroom from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Advanced registration is necessary, but there is no charge for the session.
