  • There is still time to register credit union volunteers to attend the MCUL & Affiliates 2017 Spring Leadership Development Conference. Taking place April 28-30 at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, participants will find important training such as the "Bank Secrecy Act for Board Members," along with quality networking and insights from industry experts.
  • The number of rules, regulations and legal pitfalls that impact the collections arena makes it important to keep collectors well trained. At the upcoming MCUL & Affiliates Collector's Training School, participants will find plenty of tools and resources to help reduce charge-offs and serve their memberships. Being offered in conjunction with the Collections Consortium, expert collector Harry Strausser III will explore technologies that impact and support the industry, and discuss how to develop an ethical, professional collections culture. Registration is $169 per person, which includes continental breakfast, lunch and snacks. The event takes place May 2 at the Marriott in Troy.
  • An April 19 webinar on Supervisory Committee Lender Liability & Risks in Lending Today is being hosted at 2 p.m. (ET) by the Supervisory Committee Academy. The session will help provide insights and clarifications into the risks in lending that will help credit unions monitor the safety and soundness of their organizations and ensure adequate due diligence is performed on the loan program. Registration is $249.
