Support the AC&E Live and Silent Auction for Advocacy

When the Michigan credit union community gathers at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel & DeVos Place this June 7-10 for the MCUL/CUSG Annual Convention & Exposition, they will once again enjoy the excitement of both an online silent auction and a live auction cocktail reception.

The "Auction for Advocacy" will feature items on display for the silent auction during the day on Thursday & Friday, June 8–9. Those interested in bidding will receive details to access the online bidding site via a mobile device, which provides the opportunity to watch all of the bidding action and receive notifications if they are outbid.

When the silent auction closes, the excitement will turn to the live auction, which takes place during a cocktail reception on Friday evening. Here participants can "Eat. Drink. Bid." as the energy and competitive spirit of the auction fills the air. This year’s live auction items will feature a rare Steve Yzerman signed Red Wings jersey (only 19 were produced) and a game-used baseball bat signed by Detroit Tiger legend Al Kaline (Hall of Famer, 18 All-Star games, 3000+ hits). A variety of other items and packages will ensure there is something for everyone.

In 2017, proceeds from items purchased at both the live and silent "Auctions for Advocacy" will benefit the MCUL’s State PAC. Any corporate support from credit unions for this year’s event will be directed to “A Stronger Financial Michigan (ASFM),” the MCUL’s issue advocacy fund set up to defend against anti-credit union political efforts, and promote credit union friendly issues. Those interested in becoming an ASFM advocacy sponsor to be recognized at this year’s AC&E may click here to purchase a sponsorship online. Please contact the MCUL’s political affairs coordinator Haleigh Krombeen by email or at (734) 793-3459 with any questions.
