Registration Open for Financial Counseling Certification Training
The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) funding brings the National Credit Union Foundation’s Enhanced Financial Counseling Training Program to Michigan again this year to assist participants in becoming CUNA Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors. Registration is now open until April 7 for this unique financial counseling training program for credit union staff that combines the lower cost and convenience of a self-study program with the group hands-on learning and networking of a live CUNA school.
The enhanced program provides credit union staff with the skills and knowledge to guide members in increasing their financial capability and becoming more productive and loyal credit union members. These skills can be utilized in all member service interactions including account management, lending, collections and financial education.
The program utilizes CUNA’s FiCEP curriculum and provides successful participants with the designation of Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor. MCUF funding brings this program to Michigan for the discounted cost of $416. In addition, to assist smaller credit unions in obtaining this training, full scholarships will be awarded to one applicant from each of the first 40 credit unions with assets of $50M or less to apply.
