Keep Directors Up to Date with Bank Secrecy Act Training at Spring Conference
One of the many responsibilities of credit union leaders is overseeing the important regulatory compliance of the Bank Secrecy Act. This rule requires financial institutions to assist U.S. government agencies by keeping certain records of transactions and by reporting suspicious activity that might signify tax evasion or other criminal activities.
During the MCUL & Affiliates 2017 Spring Leadership Development Conference, directors, CEOs and committee members will be able to attend a session on BSA compliance, which is a common weakness being identified in credit unions during compliance audits. Taking place April 28-30 at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mount Pleasant, the event agenda provides hot topics, current trends and industry insights to help credit union leaders meet their fiduciary responsibilities, stay current on regulatory issues and be purposeful with strategic planning.
Registration is $399 per person for the first four attendees and $350 for the fifth attendee and more; guests are encouraged to attend, enjoy the resort and register for meals and special activities. For questions, please contact Monica Strucinski.
