Congressman Bishop Appointed to Serve on House Ways and Means Committee
Congressman Mike Bishop (MI-08) was selected today by the House Republican Steering Committee to serve on the Committee on Ways and Means in the 115th Congress, filling the open seat left by newly-confirmed Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.
Michigan will now have two members on this prominent tax-writing committee, which has jurisdiction over issues including health care, trade, Medicare and Medicaid, Social Security and welfare. Rep. Sander Levin (D-09) continues to serve on the panel. MCUL President & CEO Dave Adams shared the following on Rep.
