Change Agents Needed! Learn More at Intentional CU Leadership
Credit union people are not traditionally known for their appetite for change, but these days more and more believers in the credit union movement are eager to affect and champion positive change. This means more change agents are needed.
At the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL) & Affiliates Intentional CU Leadership workshop, Consultant Kevin Smith will explain exactly what this means and how it can work effectively as he addresses "Change Agent Leadership." He will discuss the difficulties, necessities and tremendous possibilities that come with being a change agent.
As each participant will complete an Individual Development Plan, they will be able to apply what they've learned about the power of rapport to help make people receptive to change, what it means to be a catalyst for change and how to address culture, emotions and habits.
Smith will be joined at the event by Author and Consultant Tim Harrington who will share the "Five Habits of the Most Productive Leaders" and branding and marketing expert Mark Arnold who will focus on "Transformational Leadership: Morphing Into a Mentor."
Intentional CU Leadership is a new conference taking place at the out-of-the-ordinary Downtown Market Grand Rapids. Attendees will gather in the inspirational space to hear brief 18-minute presentations from all three speakers. The balance of the day they will work with peers and their preferred presenter/topic to refine a plan specific to themselves. Participants do not need to be supervisors/managers; emerging leaders are welcome!
The event takes place Sept. 28 with an optional pre-event activity the evening of Sept. 27 and occurs simultaneous to the world-renowned Grand Rapids Art Prize event. Limited hotel rooms are being held at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel until Sept. 6 and other area hotels are listed on the event website.Go to main navigation
