Michigan Credit Union Foundation Supports Financial Literacy
Looking for help with training, turnkey resources or funding for your financial education initiatives? The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) provides support for credit union financial education activities.
- The deadline to register for the 2016 Enhanced Financial Counselor Certification Training in Michigan is April 15. The MCUF brings the enhanced self-study training program to Michigan to assist participants in becoming CUNA certified credit union financial counselors with the skills to help members build a strong financial future.
- MCUF provides materials, funding and implementation guidance to assist credit unions and chapters in hosting two unique hands-on financial learning experiences: the Financial Reality Fair for teens and the Route Your Retirement fair for adults. Learn more here.
- Community Reinvestment and Financial Education grants are available to assist with credit union community reinvestment, financial education initiatives and partnerships, especially those assisting underbanked, low income or underserved areas. 2016 MCUF grant cycle applications are due June 30.
