MCUA Update Unanimously Voted Out of Committee, Headed for Full Senate Consideration
In yet another positive step for credit union regulation in Michigan, MCUL’s six-bill package to update the Michigan Credit Union Act has been unanimously voted out of committee by the Senate Banking Committee.
These bills, which will improve the regulatory environment that state chartered credit unions operate under in the state, have already moved through the House with nearly unanimous support. They will now move forward for consideration by the full Senate.
MCUL’s Government Affairs team continues to work closely with DIFS and the Senate leadership to craft legislation that will modernize our state’s credit union regulations, and we expect to have legislation ready for Governor Snyder’s signature by spring.Go to main navigation
