Calling ‘Under-30’ CU Staffers: March 18 Deadline to Apply for Crash Michigan AC&E Approaches
Up to 10 young professionals from Michigan credit unions will soon be selected to receive complimentary registration to attend this year’s MCUL & Affiliates Annual Convention and Exposition June 9-11, at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. The CUES and the Michigan CU Foundation are sponsoring credit union staffers under-30 (or 30-ish) to apply to be a Crasher at the event in an effort to increase engagement and broaden the experience of the industry’s future leaders.
Now in its sixth year, those selected have the opportunity to attend the AC&E and special activities designed for Crashers. As an added bonus, several past Crashers will be on hand to serve as onsite mentors and help attendees make the most of the experience.
The primary purpose of the Crash movement is to ensure up-and-coming leaders understand issues of the future, to expose them to valuable ideas and to motivate them to be better engaged with the larger credit union system. The experience offers a mechanism to think beyond the walls of an individual credit union and to seek out innovative ideas by networking with other like-minded industry professionals.
While Crashers will need to provide their own transportation and pay for select meals, accommodations and incidentals, the Crash is an outstanding way for credit unions to involve younger staff members while minimizing costs. The online application process is easy and the deadline date is March 18. For more details or to apply, click here.
