Regulatory Side of Disparate Impact Addressed at Lending and Marketing Conference

Credit unions need to remain concerned about treating members unfairly, and during MCUL’s Lending and Marketing Conference, such concerns will be covered in "Disparate Impact Is More Than Just A Regulatory Issue."

Michael Cochrum, the executive lending advisor at CU Direct will help credit union leaders make certain they are not caught off guard by regulators or members in fair treatment of members and making financial decisions. Based upon actual credit union results, he will share what testing for disparate impact can reveal, some of the possible reasons why the disparity may exist and what a credit union can do to resolve it.

The Lending and Marketing Conference takes place Feb. 9 & 10 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Kalamazoo. Registration for the full conference is $310 per person by Jan. 18; $360 after this date. A one-day registration option is available for $169 per person by Jan. 18 and $199 after this date. The Lending and Marketing Conference is immediately followed by the Compliance Conference being held at the same destination on Feb. 11 & 12.
