MSU Extension Seeks CU Partners for Financial Education Fairs During Money Smart Week
Michigan State University Extension educators would like to partner with credit unions in areas across the state to facilitate Route Your Retirement Fairs during Money Smart Week, April 18-25.
This kind of collaborative partnership is perfect for a larger community impact. MSU Extension educators will work with credit unions to help facilitate the fair, recruit participants and help with volunteers to staff the fair. They may also have access to a community facility to host a local fair.
The Route Your Retirement Fair is now available for credit union use through the Michigan CU Foundation. The foundation will provide the materials and training, and possibly funding for event costs. This interactive fair is designed to have participants think more carefully about the type of lifestyle they would like to pursue in retirement and then link it to their financial plan. More information about the Route Your Retirement Fair is available on the event flier. View this video to see the Route Your Retirement Fair in action.
