Compliance Conference Expanded, Heads to Detroit in February
Dozens of credit union compliance professionals from all across the state are already registered to attend the MCUL & Affiliates 2015 Compliance Conference, Feb. 12-13 at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit.
"Enterprise Risk Management Do’s and Don’ts: Key Lessons Learned from Credit Union ERM Initiatives" will be one of nearly a dozen topics covered at the event, which has been expanded into a two-day format.
Enterprise risk management is top of mind for credit union regulators, boards of directors, internal auditors and compliance professionals, but such programs are fraught with challenges. The session will explain how requirements change constantly, the confusion regarding proper scope and techniques, dealing with limited resources and how there is no clear road map for successful implementation.
Other select sessions being offered at the Compliance Conference include "Online Account Opening and E-Sign," "Bank Secrecy Act Hot Topics," "Advertising Promotions," "Trust & Estate Account Considerations" and "Effective Auditing Communication."
Full conference registration is $310 per person by Jan. 23 and $360 after this date. One-day registration is available for $169 per person by Jan. 23 and $199 thereafter. The Compliance Conference follows the Lending and Marketing Conference, Feb. 10-11.
