MCUF Wraps Up 2023 Financial Counselors Training Program
The Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) congratulates the over 130 participants who recently completed the MCUF Michigan Enhanced Financial Counselor Certification Program. Americans often learn about finances from their families and friends, or just go it alone. The need for expert help is real, especially when so many face uncertain economic futures.
With certified credit union financial counselors on staff, credit unions are better able to:
- Help members experiencing financial difficulties
- Demonstrate the credit union difference
- Attract new members
- Grow product and service revenue
The MCUF funds program enhancements which include:
- A web portal with webinars, study guides, counseling documents and additional resources
- A supplemental virtual group training session led by FiCEP instructors to expand knowledge and provide hands-on practice with experienced counselors
- A live Zoom exam prep session
- One online proctored testing session
- Access to Counselor’s Corner, a networking portal where users can pose questions, learn about shared counseling tips, tricks, resources, training webinars and more
