Support Brian Waldron for NAFCU Board of Directors

Dear NAFCU Member,

I would like your support in my effort to serve as a member of the NAFCU Board of Directors. You will receive an official ballot on Wednesday, April 26; they are due by 5:00 pm ET on May 10.

It would be an honor to serve you as part of NAFCU's mission to strengthen credit unions by providing the industry's best federal advocacy, education, and compliance assistance.

I am proud to have served for over 20 years in professional leadership roles in the credit union industry. My credit union story began in 1998 when I volunteered and interned at First Miami Student and Alumni Federal Credit Union. As they say, the rest is history.

After graduating from Miami University in Ohio, I had the privilege of continuing to impact the credit union industry as a Branch Manager at First Day FCU, Assistant VP at Universal 1 CU, Chief Lending Officer at Scott Credit Union, and Senior VP/Chief Lending Officer for Hudson Valley CU in New York before taking my current role of President/CEO of Dort Financial Credit Union in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

I have always enjoyed meeting people and networking with those across our industry during my time attending trade conferences, etc.  I have been honored to have spoken at several leadership and trade conferences, including multiple NAFCU conferences, most recently the NAFCU Strategic Growth Conference in Nashville!  Always trying to advance the credit union mission, I have also been a guest on several podcasts!

In my spare time, I volunteer in the community and serve on the Business School Advisory Board for Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. Additionally, my wife, Alicia, and I actively work with animal rescues and foster dogs currently in need of a home.

Thank you for taking a few moments to get to know me. If you would like to connect further and learn more about me and my passion for the credit union industry, please connect with me on LinkedIn! The nomination humbles me, and I appreciate your support as you select Board members for the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions. It would be my honor to serve you in that capacity.

Sincerely,
