Financial Plus Donates $28K to United Way
Financial Plus Credit Union will donate over $28,000 to United Way in 2023 from an employee contribution campaign. The donations will benefit United Way of Genesee, Shiawassee, Saginaw and Bay Counties.
Financial Plus’ annual United Way Campaign raised $14,000 in employee contributions, and Financial Plus has pledged to match 100% of all donations, creating a total of $28,000.
It’s a record-breaking year for the campaign, with 130 employees contributing across the organization. Employees chose to have a designated amount deducted from their paycheck or opt for a one-time donation to United Way.
“The Financial Plus team’s concern for our communities extends beyond our branch doors. Our employees’ investment in our community will help break down barriers, improve lives, and create opportunities for those who need it most,” said Madeline Mason, public relations and social media specialist at Financial Plus Credit Union.
The United Way of Genesee County advocates for producing better results within the community. They work with partners to surround children, individuals and families with the resources they need to succeed at all stages of their lives. They use data and evidence to fund over 150 programs that leverage more than $15 million into the community.
