Makley has been CEO of the Portland-based PFCU for just one month, following the start of the credit union’s leadership transition from Harvey Hoskins, who is set to retire from the $800-million-in-assets credit union.
Makley chats with Corkery about how the transition has gone so far and how she plans to approach her new leadership of PFCU and its 55,000 members.
They also discuss Makley’s varied history in the credit union industry, including experience in member services, marketing, branch managing and loan managing. And along the way, the newly minted CEO learned many lessons, including how to enjoy what you’re doing and where you are, right now.
