FreeStar Financial Credit Union Awards Lucky Member $10,000
Last August, FreeStar Financial Credit Union launched its $10k Giveaway promotion of 2022. Any member who applied for and closed on a qualifying Home Equity Line of Credit or Mortgage Loan of $25,000 or more during the promotion period was automatically entered to win the $10,000 grand prize.
FreeStar Financial revealed grand prize winner on Nov. 30 via a live drawing on Facebook Live. The winner was chosen, notified, and invited to their nearest branch for a surprise celebration.
“When I received the phone call, I could not believe I had won,” said winner Matt P.
When Matt arrived at the Shelby Township location, he was greeted with cheers, balloons, confetti and music. Drema Isaac, President and CEO of FreeStar Financial, thanked him, said a few words and presented him with a $10,000 check.
“This award money will help to give my family a great Christmas, as well as pay down some debt," said Matt. "I am so glad that I chose FreeStar Financial for my loan. The process was fast and easy, and I know that becoming a member with FreeStar Financial was the best decision I made."
During the $10k Giveaway promotional period, the credit union saw an increase in new mortgage loans and HELOCs, despite the volatile housing market. During a difficult economic period, FreeStar Financial chose to celebrate and reward its loyal members, both old and new, for putting their trust in them for their lending and banking needs.
