        FINANCIAL WELLBEING

        All of the Foundation’s year-
        round efforts pivot around
        community enrichment,
and one of the primary ways
        to improve people’s lives is
        through education. MCUF’s
        educational focus is on
        financial wellbeing, which it
        advances through initiatives
        like financial reality fairs,
        financial counseling
        training and support and
        sponsorships of statewide
        literacy programs.
        Financial Reality Fairs
        Financial Reality Fairs are
        real-life budget simulations
        that teach students how to
        manage income. Through
        interactive, community-
        based exercises, students
        learn about balancing
        spending, savings, bill
        payments and credit scores.
        Each fair ends with students
meeting with a financial counselor from Financial Counseling Training and Support
