Financial Counseling Training and Support Financial Education Statewide Program Sponsorships
MCUF helps Michigan credit union professionals access educational MCUF sponsorships increase credit union awareness and reach 9,000
certification and resources to enrich their ability to provide member guidance. or more families annually with credit union financial education.
• 770 professionals to date have accessed financial counseling certification Money Smart Kids Read
with the help of MCUF. Provided books on behalf of Michigan credit unions to 8,000 families
in 2020 through 120 public libraries during Money Smart Week.
• 68 participants from 20 credit unions became CUNA Certified Credit
Union Financial Counselors in 2020 with MCUF assistance. High School Personal Finance Challenge
Virtual challenge reached 397 participants and included in-school case-study
• 23 participants received full curriculum scholarships. competitions to enhance student learning and credit union partnerships.
