Thirteen Credit Unions Make Detroit Free Press’ Top Workplaces of 2023
For the 16th annual Michigan’s Top Workplaces list, the Detroit Free Press partnered with Energage, an employee research and culture technology firm, to determine this year’s winners.
Of the 6,698 organizations invited to participate, a record 225 earned recognition as Top Workplaces.
Thirteen of those 225 were Michigan credit unions:
- Astera Credit Union
- Community Choice Credit Union
- DFCU Financial
- ELGA Credit Union
- Extra Credit Union
- Genisys Credit Union
- Lake Trust Credit Union
- Michigan First Credit Union
- Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union
- Michigan State University Federal Credit Union
- TRUE Community Credit Union
- United Bay Community Credit Union
- University of Michigan Credit Union
“It’s great to see the Detroit Free Press recognize so many credit unions for this year’s Top Workplaces survey,” said MCUL President/CEO Patty Corkery. “Every year, I see Michigan credit union leaders prioritizing culture, learning how they can foster a workplace that creates a healthy environment for collaboration and trusted member service.”
Any organization with 50 or more employees in Michigan is eligible to participate in the ranking. Employers are grouped into small, medium and large sizes to best compare similar employee experiences.
