The latest episode of MCUL’s podcast series, Credit Unions, Coffee and Conversation, features guest Mimi Elwell, vice chairperson of the Honor Credit Union Board of Directors.
This is the first episode with a credit union volunteer whose primary position in the industry is as a board member. And who better to have that distinction than Elwell, the first recipient of MCUL’s new award, Board Member of the Year, which she will formally accept at this June’s Annual Convention & Exposition.
While an educator by profession, Elwell has been a part of the Honor team in various volunteer capacities since 1980. She talks with MCUL CEO Patty Corkery about what it means to be a board member, how to be active and engaged in that role and how she decided to be a part of this industry.
