Innovation Award

Eligibility

The Innovation and Reinvention Award recognizes credit unions for innovative thinking, action and community involvement. Broken into three asset categories, these awards acknowledges the creative ways credit unions think outside the box.

This is accomplished in a number of ways including:

  • Creation of new and improved services to members
  • New activities or programs
  • Employee development/culture
  • Financial literacy efforts
  • Community involvement
  • Operations and financial strength, etc.

Criteria

The Innovation and Reinvention Award is presented for innovation in leadership, mentoring, advocacy and collaboration. Additional criteria for this nomination includes:

  • Award winners are selected based on asset sizes:
    • Up to $49.9 million
    • $50-$399.9 million
    • $400 million and above
  • Measurable impact to the credit union and movement as a whole
  • Nomination letter and letters of recommendation

Entry Requirements

  • NOMINATION LETTER: A nomination letter must describe and elaborate in detail upon how the award criteria were met
  • LETTERS OF SUPPORT: A minimum of 2, maximum of 5, letters of support must be sent and are expected to address the author’s first-hand knowledge of the nominee with relation to all of the award criteria
