SUMMARY: Grand River Chapter CU Spark Tank Competition
LOCATION:Adventure CU 32nd Street Branch
DESCRIPTION:Are you up for the challenge?\n \n\nOn March 11, 2025, from 9am-12pm @ Adventure CU 32nd Street Branch, the Grand River Chapter will host the chapter-level CU Spark Tank Competition for eligible credit union young professionals, ages 18-40.  Each credit union is encouraged to select one team member to represent them in the chapter-level competition.\n\nJudging will be based on a seven-minute oral presentation. Contestants are asked to present an idea, product or service that they think would benefit their credit union or the credit union industry. It’s that simple! The deadline for your Credit Union’s team member (1) to submit their application and updated resume for the Chapter competition is March 1, 2025.  Send to Chapter Representative Velvet Fuller at vfuller@goaac.com.\n\nOnce a Grand River Chapter winner is determined, they will move on to the semi-finals at MCUL’s Annual Convention and Exposition (AC&E), the first week of June at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, where all semi-finalists will make their presentations to a panel of judges and six contestants will move on to the finals later in the week, on the mainstage.\n\nIn addition to financial assistance to attend the AC&E semi-finals, the Grand River Chapter winner will receive:\n\n	Complimentary registration to all GR Chapter events for the rest of that calendar year.  Individual must still RSVP to the event.\n	A $500 scholarship to any MCUL event during that calendar year.\n\nThe winner will also be invited to the Grand River Chapter Annual Meeting, April 22, 2025 4pm-7pm @ Downtown Market, to participate in a guest panel with Patti Corkery, to review what is happening with MCUL and CUSG.\n\nTo help our local candidates prepare for this growth opportunity, the Grand River Chapter is hosting an optional “Powerful Presentation” Training, January 14, 2025, 9am-11am @ Adventure CU’s 32nd Street location.  Training is open to all Chapter credit union employees not only those applying for CU Spark Tank.  More details to come.\n\n	GR Chapter CU Spark Tank\n	Competition Manual\n	2025 Application CU Spark Tank\n
