Breakout Sessions

On Wednesday, March 12 you'll be able to customize your learning experience by choosing from these first two breakout sessions in the morning and the following two sessions in the afternoon!

Emerging Member Growth: Cultivating Diverse Markets
This Could be You!
Susan was overwhelmed with the challenge – “How to use technology to reach Gen Y?”  Ever since her CEO read about Social Media in the latest copy of Fast Company, all she heard about was blogs and podcasts and Facebook and MySpace and a seemingly bottomless list of "the latest and greatest" online tools that Gen Y members were embracing. Join Susan and others! Attend “Building Relationships with Gen Y” on Wednesday and get a better understanding of why Gen Y uses these tools and how your credit union can participate in the conversations these tools facilitate.

Victor Miguel Corro
These days, membership growth is on most everyone’s mind. In this session Victor will help those credit unions looking for a fresh approach to membership growth reach out to a new market segment. His presentation will include techniques and tips on how to attract and serve members from different cultures with an emphasis on Hispanics/Latinos.

A Fresh Perspective on Brand
Lee Ann Mares
While brand is communicated via marketing, it must be built and delivered through actions. Every member interaction creates a perception, and it is the sum of these perceptions that creates your brand. This session is for those who want to learn ways to build and deliver brand based on member experience. We’ll focus on how to organize your products, service, pricing, channels, operations and most importantly, your employees around delivering the brand that will grow your credit union.

Dos and Don'ts for CUs Using the Social Web
Matt Dean
Is your credit union thinking of using blogs, podcasts or social networking sites like MySpace to market to your members? Beware! If you don't approach it in just the right way, you could be in for a nasty backlash. Learn how to build member loyalty the right way as we focus on viral campaigns that have flourished
and those that have flopped.
