Small Asset Size (SAS) credit unions are a valuable part of the CU system. The following offers regulatory resources, self-assessment tools and links to education scholarships.
The MCUL's online newsletter specifically for credit unions of asset size $50 million and under. The SAS Gazette covers legislative and regulatory information that pertains directly to small asset size credit unions, as well as involvement by these credit unions in their communities and services provided by the MCUL and CU Solutions Group that are aimed at smaller credit unions.
This resource tool, brought to you by the MCUL, is designed to provide accurate information for the Supervisory Committee to utilize when completing your credit union's annual audit.
This guide, from the NCUA, is intended for use by a credit union's board of directors and management, compliance officers, and other having responsibility for compliance as part of their duties.
MCUF Scholarships and grants are available for targeted professional development opportunities and for financial education and community reinvestment activities. Operational grants for up to $2,000 are available specifically for small credit unions for technology and operational upgrades to assist in serving members. As funding is limited, interested credit unions are encouraged to apply early in the year.

Strategic Planning Session
A free session is available to any credit union with less than $50 million in assets. These planning sessions are conducted by League Representatives and offer credit unions the opportunity to evaluate recent economic factors, while looking to future plans and goals.
