With over 23 years in the financial services industry, Janet currently serves as Division Manager, Marketing for the Midwest Marketing Division of CUNA Mutual Group. Serving the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, Janet develops and implements marketing strategies that promote CUNA Mutual Group's competitive financial services to the credit union industry. Her 18 years in the credit union movement include 3 years with CUNA Mutual Group, over 10 years with Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union in West Lafayette, Indiana as Senior Vice President and CUSO General Manager and 5 years with Houston Police Federal Credit Union as Executive Vice President. Prior to joining the credit union movement, Janet was Senior Mortgage Loan Officer for Savings of America.
Ms. McDonald is co-founder and past Chairman of the CUNA HR Council. Janet has achieved the top level, Dean's List with Highest Honors, in the National Credit Union Institute. Based on professional, academic and civic accomplishments, she is listed in the International Who's Who Business Directory and is a frequent speaker at local, state and national conferences and seminars. Ms. McDonald has been a past contributor and advisor to numerous CU resources including the CUNA Environmental Scan, Volunteer Achievement Program, Volunteer Leadership Program, Management Enrichment Training Program and Staff Training and Recognition Program. She fulfills a leadership role in a number of community groups and associations.
