Our Commitment to Service Individuals and Families with Low-incomes and of Modest Means

The Modest Means Council is taking over the areas covered by the Community Involvement Working Group and their primarily responsible will be to focus on the implementation of cooperative credit union programs that focus on lower income demographics and alleviating poverty.

Examples would include the MCUL “Just file it!” We’ll help.” program. The group will also coordinate efforts and showcase best practices with low-income designated credit unions and community development credit unions

Disaster Response Efforts
There currently is a place on the CRI/ Community Involvement website that credit unions can use to and quickly and effectively make donations to national and international disaster relief efforts. Just click on the Disaster Relief Efforts section in the index.
