The Modest Means Council has developed this brochure for you to download, copy and/or print. You can put your own credit union logo and contact information on the last page.

During the income tax season credit unions across the state engage with members, community groups, non-profits and volunteers to assist low and moderate income residents with completing their income taxes and applying for their income tax credits.

This community engagement began with the commitment made by the MCUL to assist credit unions in helping their members access the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Several outreach strategies are used throughout the state each year during the tax season and throughout this process community agencies and non-profits organizations have asked credit unions for easy to understand information to hand out at free tax preparation sites which encourages tax filers to save a portion of their refund and/or EITC.

This brochure on the Power of Planning provides consumers with Tips to Building Your Financial Freedom. It also encourages folks to join a credit union by providing ways in which credit unions are unique.

We invite you to download a version below, copy or print it and use it freely within your community.
