Financial Education Council
The Financial Education Council (FEC) is one of five councils on the CRI/Future Vision Committee. The FEC was formerly known as the Family Involvement Council. It was changed in 2008 to FEC to fall in line with the CRI/Future Vision Committee. FEC is composed of enthusiastic volunteers from credit unions throughout Michigan who work to expand credit union commitment to financial literacy and education by assisting credit unions with classroom presentations, student branching, credit union youth programs and adult financial education.
NEFE High School Financial Planning Program Training
Credit union staff interested in learning to teach the 2008 NEFE High School Financial Planning Program Curriculum are invited to attend an all-day training session that will be held at multiple locations and dates around the state. The workshops will provide the tools to educate students in the fundamentals of sound money management and the basic concepts of financial planning and personal responsibility.
