Welcome Reception "Your Museum Comes Alive" Sponsored by CUcorp and AAA There's no reason to worry about being attacked by a dinosaur or chased by a lion at the VanAndel Museum, but you can expect to take a step back in time and enjoy a variety of exhibits at this year's Welcome Reception. Take a stroll over the Grand River foot-bridge or enjoy a short trolley ride to the museum, located just a short distance from the Amway Grand Plaza. There you'll enjoy a delightful evening mixing and miggling with other attendees in an amazing backdrop of fascinating exhibits. Walk down the streets of a full-scale detailed re-creation of Grand Rapids in the 1890s, complete with backround sounds. Eleven shops are based on actual businesses and buildings, with interiors stocked with real merchandise from the past. There's much more to see and do at this fun and interesting event, open to registered attendees and registered guests. |
