About the Speakers
Jody Dabrowski
Jody has worked in the credit union industry for over nine years and most recently served as the compliance helpline consultant for the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. In early 2012 she moved into a Compliance Consulting role where she travels to credit unions and works directly with them in meeting their individual compliance needs. Her expertise includes working for six years as a credit union examiner with the State of Michigan - OFIR. She has a degree in accounting from Liberty University and is a CUNA certified credit union compliance expert and bank secrecy act compliance specialist.
Shawn Wolbert
Shawn is a compliance consultant for the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. She helps credit unions respond to the growing regulatory burdens by providing information, education and assistance services. Shawn is a certified internal auditor and NAFCU certified compliance officer with over ten years of experience in the financial services industry.
Amy Wargo
Amy has worked in the banking industry for over 18 years, most recently in a credit union environment, with operational experience in compliance/internal audit, lending and training. She is a certified credit union compliance expert and is a trained six sigma champion. Amy provides compliance consulting service through the CUCorp shared staffing program and assists credit unions by reviewing policies and procedures for compliance, recommending and implementing changes, and maintaining credit union compliance.
Sarah Stevenson
Sarah is the compliance helpline consultant for the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates. She assists credits unions through multiple communication channels providing compliance support in the areas of regulatory compliance, operations and compliance information dissemination. Sarah has worked in the credit union industry for eight years, with six years in the compliance sector. She is a CUNA certified credit union compliance expert. She holds a bachelor's of fine arts degree from Adrian College and a master's of arts in organizational management from Spring Arbor University.
Scholarships
Financial assistance is available for credit unions with assets of $35 million or less from the Michigan Credit Union Foundation. To apply simply indicate your request for financial assistance while registering.
Payment/Confirmations
Please do not send payment now; your credit union will be billed. You will be e-mailed a confirmation which will include a link for directions. If you have not received a confirmation by February 8, 2013 please call the League at (800) 262-6285, ext. 225 to verify that your registration was received.
Registration Changes
No-shows and cancellations received after February 8, 2013 will be invoiced for the full registration fee. Substitutions are always encouraged. Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail to educate@mcul.org or by fax to (517) 482-3762, attention of the education department. Please be sure to cancel your hotel room reservations if you cancel your conference registration.
