Dan Giedeman, Ph.D
Dan is an associate professor of economics at Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids. He earned his bachelor’s of arts in economics and history and his master’s of science in economics from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and his Ph.D. in economics from Washington University, St. Louis. His research and teaching interests include macroeconomics, money and banking, economic history and institutional economics.



Michael A. Kus
Michael is the managing partner in the law firm of Kus, Ryan & Associates, PLLC which specializes in regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, foreclosure and bankruptcy and loan documentation, as well as real estate law, director liability & litigation and general corporate law.

Veronica Madsen
Veronica has been counsel for the Michigan Credit Union League and CUcorp since July 2005. She has also served as the MCUL regulatory specialist and later an MCUL consultant for the Downriver, Metro East (and what was formerly the Blue Water) Chapters. As counsel, Veronica provides legal advice for the League and its subsidiaries. In addition to these duties, she provides regulatory assistance to credit unions, oversees the record retention and the loans & leasing channels on the InfoSight online compliance library and authors original and updated credit unions policies in the CUCare operations policy manual.


Michael Moyes
Michael was president/CEO of Salt Lake Credit Union and became senior vice president of operations following the credit union's merger with Mountain America Credit Union in 2008. He has an outstanding track record of garnering high marks with providing member service and employee satisfaction and was successful in expanding and doubling the size of his credit union's branch network, as well as developing a $130 million credit union to $260 million in four years. He possesses a bachelor's of arts in accounting from Weber State University, a master's degree in business information systems from the University of Phoenix and is a master's of business administration degree candidate with the University of Phoenix.
 

Kelly Schermerhorn
Kelly is president/CEO of CES Credit Union. He is an active participant in legislative action, meeting often with state and federal legislators to help frame the credit union story. He has also been active with the international partnerships that the Ohio Credit Union League has formed with the World Council of Credit Unions, travelling to Bulgaria and Bolivia to assist with the development of a model credit union law (Bulgaria) and develop a shared branching system (Bolivia).
 



John A. Vardallas
John is an International credit union business consultant and founder/CEO of TheAmericanBoomeR Group, a Madison Wisconsin based speaking/consulting business and internet enterprise dedicated primarily to developing credit union leaders and organizations reach their potential. His work as a speaker/trainer and consultant focuses on helping people become more effective, as well as providing information on business growth strategy, world class service and building productive work places.
