As compliance topics continue to reach into every corner of credit union operations, MCUL & Affiliates has continued to tailor the training available to assist credit unions with understanding what they need to do to remain compliant. Formerly known as the Compliance From A-Z workshop, the league is elevating this popular event into a broader based conference and expanding the training into a second day. Now known as the MCUL & Affiliates 2014 Compliance Conference, the event will take place Thursday, Feb. 20 and continue for half-a-day on Friday, Feb. 21 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids. The first day will include training on "Social Media Compliance," "Getting Compliant With CFPB Mortgage Rules," "Lottery and Promotions," "Member Business Lending Requirements," "State Law Update" and a "Policy Session," and conclude with a "Networking Reception With Vendors." The second day will include "Legal Issues of New Account Documentation and Compliance" and a "Compliance Roundtable." The event follows the MCUL & Affiliates Lending and Marketing Conference at the same venue, which is being held Feb. 18-19.
